About FNAI

FNAI logoThe Florida Natural Areas Inventory (FNAI) is a trusted and comprehensive source for information and expertise on Florida’s ecological resources. Over the past 30 years, FNAI has established a record of providing independent, objective, scientific information to government agencies, private firms, conservation groups, researchers, and the general public.

We work closely with policy makers and managers to inform conservation and land management decisions. FNAI staff include some of the foremost experts in the state across many conservation disciplines: botany, zoology, community ecology, conservation planning, Geographic Information Systems, and data management. FNAI is a nonprofit organization administered by Florida State University and a leading member of the NatureServe Natural Heritage international network.
